What We Intend to Do?

According to the opinion and belief of persons engaged in the breeding and racing of British Horses, a "Race Horse" is defined as, like in the advanced western countries, a horse which runs fastest on the race course, is pure blooded and has a sturdy body.

The race horse meeting this definition is the horse called "Thoroughbred" by the British and Americans, "Pru sang Anglais" by the French, and Thoroughbred British" by us in our official race programs.

Right from the beginning of our founding, our efforts have been toward causing this exceptional creature to gain its deserved merit and to attain a well deserved position in our country as well. In order to prevent our level of breeding and racing to lag behind our times we, as the "Association of Breeders and Owners of Thoroughbred British Horses", are determined to spend our best efforts until we bring the Turkish Racing and Breeding to the desired level.

Through our efforts, we anticipate that a medium of Racing/Breeding longed by all of us will be created over time, so that both of these communities with their breeders and horsemen, their breeding stocks and race horses, and their farms and well trained personnel, will have the opportunity to carry out their activities in a modern way.
